Dr. Polselli and his team have designed and trained teachers to use state-of-the art data tools to inform and improve instruction. At the center of this initiative is the Middletown Public Schools District's Online Student Data Portal, which houses all relevant student data including CAPT, CMT, DIBELS, DRA, DRP, DAW, HM Benchmarks, Discipline, attendance, CFAs, and more! Teachers and administrators can access individual student data to get a longitudinal snapshot of a student's strengths and weaknesses. Classroom and district-level reports and analysis can also be accessed using the system. Data can be accessed securely from any Internet connected computer. The system will maintain a student's records from K-12, beginning in the Fall of 2008. Most significantly is the fact that teachers and administrators have access to the data directly and do not have to waste time on the technical aspect of data collection and analysis! Other data tools Dr. Polselli has experience implementing are LinkIt! (Student Data Portal), Blue Ribbon Assessment, Remark scanning software, Classroom Performance System (CPS) "Clickers," and Simple Assessment (student technology skills inventory). |
